Studying the Earth and Sustainability
If you are passionate about exploring God’s world and discovering how to care for His Creation, dig into Taylor University’s Environmental Science program. Students who major in Environmental Science integrate biology, chemistry, and geology with environmental laws, policies, economics, and ethics for an interdisciplinary understanding of the Earth and sustainability.
Our award-winning Randall Center provides a space dedicated to students’ hands-on learning, including our field-based courses in Taylor’s 145-acre arboretum—a site for environmental study just outside of Randall Center. Students learn investigative techniques to better conserve and restore the environment. Student also participate in our specialized field course in the Black Hills of South Dakota, which includes a week-long field trip in the Rocky Mountains, as well as international opportunities in Ecuador and Africa.
