Designed for 150 students, Breuninger Hall is connected to Gerig Hall and, like its neighbor, is a co-ed hall with two female floors and one male floor. Nicknamed “Breu,” the hall is complete with air conditioning, a community kitchen, an elevator, and a laundry room in the lower level. The hall features a large lobby, central lounge, and upper-level common area that regularly see students come together for connection and fun. Each floor holds its own lounge space and study rooms, and community bathrooms only add to the charm of family-style living.
Breu features a variety of hall traditions, including several open houses, such as 1st Breu’s Oregon Trail, 2Breu’s Christmas Escape Room, and 3rd Breu’s Storm’s a-Breuin. More traditions include Greuvy Thanksgiving, a night where residents from Breu and Gerig come together with dishes to share, and all-hall worship nights with Gerig, which further develop inter-hall relationship between students.
Special open houses are a big part of social life at Taylor. Breuninger Hall is known for its Oregon Trail Open House, where all the students decorate, create fun games, make snacks—and the whole campus is invited!
