Wengatz Hall

Wengatz Hall, built in 1965, is home to just over 250 students. One of only two all-male residence halls on Taylor’s campus, Wengatz follows a traditional residence hall layout with rooms lining both sides of a T-shaped corridor. Its three floors are divided into eight wings.

Wengatz Hall has a tradition of themed pick-a-dates and Open Houses. Some of our favorite Open Houses include 3rd East’s Future Great Dads of America, 2nd West’s Techno Night, and 1st West’s Zoo Open House. Other hall and wing activities include a week-long celebration in the fall called Wengatz Week, Melon and Gourd, Wengatz Olympics, Tolf (golf with a tennis ball), Wall Ball, and so much more.

Take a Tour of Wengatz Hall

Check out what it would be like to live in Wengatz Hall, one of the main residence halls for me. This traditional corridor-style residence Hall is split into three floors, with each wing having its own identity, traditions, and community.

Special Open Houses

Residence Halls are open for visitors on set hours each week, but many halls or wings also put on special themed open houses. Third East Wengatz throws its creative Future Great Dads of America open House every year.
