Worship Arts

Major/Minor

Musical Worship

Prepare for a role as a worship leader in traditional and/or contemporary church music programs through our Worship Arts major and minor. In this program, you will refine your God-given musical abilities and learn to apply them by leading church worship.

Your ministry music lessons can focus on piano, voice, organ, and/or guitar. You will study the fundamentals of music competency and theory, as well as methods and materials for church music. Christian Ministries and Biblical Literature majors are encouraged to consider this major/minor.

The Worship Arts Minor is available for non-music majors.

Evan Fine
Class of 2020
"My time at Taylor was crucial for who I am now. Through my classes I was exposed to new, sometimes challenging, ideas and there were always opportunities to discuss them with friends on my floor. My Bible and ministry classes helped shape not only how I look at serving the church, but also my relationship with Christ, while my music classes helped push me to be the best musician I can be."
