Saturday, May 23, 2026, will mark Taylor University’s 179th Commencement, beginning at 9:30 am in the Kesler Student Activities Center.
The ceremony will open with a welcome and invocation from President Dr. D. Michael Lindsay and will include a senior address from English & Theater Education major Hannah Wylie ’26.
This year’s graduation will confer 488 bachelor's degrees and 14 Master of Arts degrees. During the ceremony, leadership will present the graduates with servant towels and Bibles—a longstanding tradition that captures Taylor’s central value of servant leadership for Christ.
Soon to join the 27,598 alumni in Taylor’s history, these students come from 30 US states and 26 foreign countries including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Burkina Faso, China, Curacao, Ethiopia, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, Myanmar, New Zealand, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, Romania, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
Three hundred and twenty Baccalaureate degree recipients have earned Commencement honors and will wear gold tassels, cords, or stoles at Commencement. Of these students, 97 have attained summa cum laude honors, 140 have achieved magna cum laude honors, and 83 have earned cum laude honors. Fourteen undergraduates are anticipated to graduate with a perfect 4.0 grade point average during their years at Taylor.
The Commencement ceremony will feature several musical performances, including a choral benediction led by the Taylor Sounds Chamber Ensemble.
Reflecting on her time at Taylor, senior Presidential Fellow Teagan Larson shared, “When I first moved to Taylor as a freshman praying ‘Lord, establish my steps,’ I could have never imagined all that God had in store. This campus, my classes, faith-filled mentors and friends have ministered Christ to my heart, and I sense God sending me out to do the same for His kingdom.”
Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
