Are you fascinated by the past and its impact on the present and future?
Taylor’s History program will enable you to follow your curiosity while challenging your assumptions about how the world works, sharpening your ability to make connections, and teaching you to think critically. Graduates of our programs will be prepared for a wide variety of careers.
Students learn to pose questions, identify sources, examine historical accounts, and consider connections between geography, culture, politics, economics, and religion. In every course, you will consider the underpinnings of societies, whether they be religious, political, philosophical, or cultural.
History courses explore the integration of history and your faith. Students can choose to add one of two concentrations to their History degree: Public History—which prepares students for a career teaching history to the public—or Women’s History—where students explore women’s often-overlooked accomplishments throughout history.
