Saturday, May 24, 2025, will mark Taylor University’s 178th Commencement, beginning at 9:30am in Kesler Student Activities Center.

The ceremony will open with a welcome and invocation from President Dr. D. Michael Lindsay and will include a senior address from presidential fellow and Biology Investigations & Applications major Afia Asamoah ‘25.

This year’s graduation will confer 384 bachelor’s degrees and 21 Master of Arts degrees, which includes the inaugural class for the Master of Arts in Leadership program. During the ceremony, leadership will present the graduates with servant towels and Bibles—a longstanding tradition that captures Taylor’s central value of servant leadership for Christ.

Over 64% of the baccalaureate degree recipients will finish with honors, 18 of whom have maintained a perfect 4.00 grade point average. Soon to join the 27,198 alumni in Taylor’s history, these students come from 27 U.S. states and 18 foreign countries including the Bahamas, Cambodia, China, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Germany, Ghana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Korea, and Zimbabwe.

In addition to the undergraduate class, Lindsay will present three honorary degrees to Bishop Oscar M. Muriu, Daphna L. Tobey, and Dr. Carlos A. Campo.

The commencement ceremony will feature several musical performances, including a choral benediction led by the Taylor Sounds Chamber Ensemble.

Reflecting on her time at Taylor, Psychology major Sara Khalaj ’25 shared, “I feel sent as I go from this place. I feel that Taylor has equipped me to be an effective disciplemaker and has taught me how to use my personal ministry, whether it be relationally or in the workplace, to glorify God.”

Congratulations to the class of 2025.
