Winter Online gives Taylor University students the opportunity to earn college credit through fully online courses during winter break.

Courses begin immediately after the fall semester and follow a different schedule than residential J-Term, allowing students to continue making progress toward their degree wherever winter break takes them.

Important Dates

  • Session: December 21, 2026 – January 27, 2027
  • Scheduled breaks: December 24–25, 2026, and December 31, 2026 – January 1, 2027
  • Residence halls reopen: January 3, 2027, at 1:00 p.m.

  • ART 172 Art Appreciation
  • BIB 110 Old Testament Survey
  • CAC 160 Integrative Communication
  • ECO 201 Principles of Microeconomics
  • ECO 202 Principles of Macroeconomics
  • MUS 149 Music Appreciation
  • PSY 250 Lifespan Development
All courses are offered fully online.
Winter Online Details

  • Students should discuss Winter Online course options with their academic advisor.
  • Registration takes place during the student's regular registration window as part of Interterm registration.
  • Students may enroll in a maximum of one Winter Online course.
  • Students cannot take a Winter Online course and a residential J-Term course simultaneously.
  • Students enrolled in Winter Online may not participate in study abroad academic trips during this session.

  • Tuition is $400 per credit hour.
  • Students taking only Winter Online courses will not be charged the J-Term fee.

  • Existing financial aid may be applied to Winter Online.
  • Additional Taylor University financial aid is not offered for Winter Online.

  • Students taking a Winter Online course may live on campus during the session.
  • Residence halls reopen January 3, 2027, at 1 pm.
  • Students living on campus in January must select a meal plan, typically the same as their fall semester plan.
  • Applicable tuition and meal plan charges still apply.
