With a Preaching & Spoken Word minor, you'll be equipped with the theological, cultural, and practical skills to apply the truth of the Gospel to our contemporary moment. Learn from instructors and chapel guests of different backgrounds to develop an understanding of various homiletical approaches.
Grow your ability to persuade skeptics with a strong foundation on exegesis and hermeneutics. Apply the timeless Gospel to distinct cultural contexts and utilize the tactical steps of sermon preparation. Learn how to prepare compelling and relevant messages for different audiences and practice delivering sermons in the PREACH Lab. Through partnerships with local and regional churches, you'll gain practical experience to hone your preaching skills.

The PREACH Lab allows pastors to test their technique in delivering pastoral messages while being observed in real time by experts. The PREACH lab includes a one-way observation glass window, professional lighting, and cameras around the room to follow the pastors as they preach.
