Welcome to IMPACT, a week-long residential camp hosted by Taylor University, specifically designed for current high school sophomores and juniors who aspire to be change-makers. At IMPACT, you'll transform your innovative ideas into reality, equipping you with the skills and mindset to make a difference in the world.

IMPACT develops key leadership skills through a dynamic hands-on innovation and entrepreneurship lab experience. Open to students of all academic interests, this program is crafted to help you develop your God-given leadership abilities and prepare you to transform society for the common good.

Summer Programs Scholarship: This $1,000 one-time scholarship is awarded to students who enroll full-time at Taylor University who have attended an eligible summer camp, academy, or conference on Taylor’s campus during high school and prior to senior year, and completed the required scholarship process while on-campus during the camp or conference.

Preparing for Impact

To help us best prepare for your success, IMPACTERS will complete an interest survey and strengths assessment prior to arriving on campus. These tools help us begin to understand your passions, values, and talents so we can better help you make your IMPACT.

 

Immersion Week

Building from the ideas and strengths submitted in the Preparation Season, students will be strategically placed in diverse collaborative teams to develop their ideas and be equipped to transform these ideas into world-changing concepts. Students will work with Taylor University faculty, university student Peer Mentors, network with world-class business and nonprofit leaders, and compete in this truly immersive leadership experience.

The cost of IMPACT is $750, but early registration discounts and scholarships are available. 

  • Register by December 31, 2025 and pay only $375 
  • Register by March 31, 2026 and pay only $550 

A $75 non-refundable deposit is due when you register. The remaining balance is due by May 15, 2026.

In addition, campers will be asked to submit a student interest survey and will be sent a code to complete the Clifton Strengths Assessment. These surveys are due no later than May 15, 2026.  

Our team is happy to pick you up at the Indianapolis or Fort Wayne airports! Please email impact@taylor.edu to request a complimentary airport shuttle before May 15, 2026.

Shuttles will run to the airports on Sunday, June 7 from 8 am-3 pm and Friday, June 12 from 3 pm-8 pm. If you plan to arrive outside these times, please contact us to make special arrangements; additional fees may occur.

IMPACT is housed in Wolgemuth Hall. This apartment-style residence hall features fully furnished two-bedroom apartments. Bed linens, a pillow, and towels are provided. Free laundry facilities are available in the hall.

For safety reasons, campers are not permitted to utilize the kitchens in the apartment, but all meals will be provided in the Hodson Dining Commons. 

IMPACT will be assigned designated meal times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the Hodson Dining Commons. Meal options rotate daily, but typically include a homestyle entrée, a fast-food style option, a pizza buffet, a salad bar, and an allergy-friendly homestyle option. Meals are provided by AVI Foodsystems. Learn more about food for special dietary needs and allergies.

A typical day at IMPACT includes breakfast, classroom instruction, lunch, innovation challenges, group work time, dinner, optional evening fun activities, and an evening team meeting with worship and reflection.

IMPACT check-in is on Sunday, June 7, 2025 from 2-4 pm. Families should plan to check in at the Innovation Hub in the Horne Academic Building before moving into the residence hall. IMPACT programming for all campers will begin at 4 pm.

IMPACT check-out is Friday, June 12, 2026 from 3 - 4 pm. Families will be invited to attend the Closing Ceremony at 2 pm.  

IMPACT is excited to extend an invitation for families to join us the last day of camp on Friday, June 12 to attend the Pitch Competition, lunch with President Lindsay, an IMPACT session, and the Closing Ceremony.

Equipping Kingdom-class Innovators

IMPACT is part of Taylor University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), an immersive training, mentoring, and equipping center of the Cornwall School of Business and Leadership.  The CIE contributes to developing students from across campus into servant-leaders by helping them to discover ways to:

  • Lead more creatively
  • Take risks comfortably because they depend on God
  • Love on people with new solutions to the economic, social, environmental, and spiritual problems of a world in need
