Career Highlights

Fueled by a passion for fostering "aha moments" through curiosity, connection, and creativity, Kyra Zylstra serves as the Director of the IMPACT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at Taylor University, an immersive lab experience for high school students. As part of the management team for Taylor University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, she is energized by spending her days coaching and supervising TU students in the Ignite Internship Program.

Kyra has spent nearly 25 years as a community and higher education professional investing in people and empowering them to amplify their strengths. She previously served as the Director of Initiatives at a makerspace where she launched a Maker in Residence Fellowship, Action Lab collaboration process, and developed a Maker Mindset educational curriculum.
