Forming Visions, a collection of 10 oil paintings by artist Brian Chu, are on display on the East Galleria wall of Taylor University’s Zondervan Library through the end of April 2015.
Chu, a Queens College graduate originally from Taiwan, is a representational artist whose work is based on personal observation; his subjects range from garlic to bridges. Landscape, still-life and figurative paintings are all included in the collection.
The display resulted from a collaboration between Taylor University’s Assistant Professor of Art, Suzie Dittenber, and Chu, her former graduate school advisor. Dittenber obtained the paintings from a show at Wright State University and worked with Mr. Dan Bowell, University Librarian, to show them at Zondervan Library.
All Taylor University faculty, staff and students as well as the public are invited to explore the exhibit during regular Zondervan Library hours:
Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. – midnight
Friday 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday 7:00 p.m. – midnight
