Dr. Jody Hirschy, Associate Dean of Business and Leadership and Professor of Marketing at Taylor University, was awarded the Teaching Award at the 2023 Christian Business Faculty Association Conference (CBFA).

The mission of the CBFA is to empower Christian business faculty to transform the world for the glory of God. When considering candidates for the Teaching Award, the CBFA assesses intellectual rigor, student engagement, creative pedagogy, service, and exemplary faith integration in classroom teaching. The award is intended to celebrate a Christian business faculty member who models our ultimate teacher, Jesus Christ.

“Jody has excelled in modeling Christ to her students as she strives to have Kingdom impact on her students and in the business world,” said Provost Dr. Jewerl Maxwell. “It’s an honor to serve with her at Taylor University, where we are equipping the next generation of servant-leaders to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ around the world.”

Prior to joining Taylor University in the Business Department, Dr. Hirschy served in a variety of marketing communications roles at Bechtel, London; Time Inc., Chicago; and Leo Burnett, Chicago. She has served as a member of the business faculty at Taylor University since 2004, where she has received the Dr. Joe Burnworth Teaching Excellence Award in 2008, the Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership Award in 2020, and the CBFA Teaching Award in 2023.
