Master of Arts in Ministry (MAM) Program

The Master of Arts in Ministry is a two-year graduate program that provides hands-on ministry experience, personal mentorship, and leadership training to emerging church leaders.

To better serve the global Church and continue developing strong Christian leaders, Taylor University has partnered with Northview Church in the greater Indianapolis area to create a flexible and affordable ministry master’s degree/practicum experience.

Hands-on Ministry Experience

Our students don’t have to uproot from ministry to complete this program; they have the opportunity to do ministry while studying ministry. Each resident will serve in one of 10 primary areas of ministry based on experience, passion, and desired ministry future. Positions include worship ministry, pastoral ministry, video production, weekend services, Northview kids, Northview students, local and global outreach, small groups and serving teams, special needs, and communication.

Personal Mentorship

As a resident, you will serve among experienced and supportive church leaders. While your Northview mentors provide expert instruction on life in a healthy, dynamic church environment, credentialed Taylor faculty will equip you mentally for the work you are already doing.

Leadership Training

The master’s degree curriculum focuses on spiritual formation, understanding Scripture and theology, analyzing cultural and community dynamics, and equipping those you serve to extend God’s kingdom. Throughout your residency, you will develop a biblically based ministry philosophy and learn to think strategically and act effectively to prepare for your future as a ministry leader.
