Taylor University’s location in rural Upland, Indiana, provides a beautiful backdrop for building relationships on campus and with our local community. Life on Taylor's campus is full, and there’s plenty to do in the surrounding area as well.

Downtown Upland

Join your wingmates on a run to Ivanhoe's Drive In or hone your thrifting skills at Upland’s annual yard sales over Labor Day weekend. Local churches look forward to welcoming you into their congregations you look for a new church home. Running low on snacks? Stock up at the nearby Walnut Creek Market or Dollar General.

Explore Outside

Take a stroll through one of Upland's parks, hike the Seven Bridges Trail, or explore the Arboretum trails to get outside and enjoy God's creation. Spend a day or weekend with friends at nature areas like the Mississinewa Reservoir, which offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and hiking.

Beyond the Cornfields

Gas City, Marion, and Muncie all sit within a 30-minute radius with even more to explore and do. Looking for some big-city fun? Indianapolis and Fort Wayne are about an hour away.
