Our hometown of Upland was once the highest point on the rail line. Each day, many trains would speed down the busy line - some brought passengers to town, others carried freight from one place to another. Although the line is no longer the hub of activity it once was, the tracks are still there, and a few times a week, a freight train still rumbles through town as it did a day or two ago on its way between Gas City and Hartford City. #TaylorU

This week, in his last formal act as Taylor University president, Dr. Gene Habecker and his wife Marylou traveled to Liberia, where they participated in the dedication of, and cornerstone laying for facilities comprising the Samuel Morris Center in Greenville, Liberia. It marked the first time that a Taylor president has ever visited the home region of our beloved, late alumnus Samuel Morris, and this photo shows just some of the children who will be blessed by this amazing new program! To God be the glory! #TaylorU
