The vision for a new track and field facility—one that creates an atmosphere inspiring excellence—aligns directly with Taylor Thrives, the University’s bold five-year strategic plan. This project is not simply a relocation; it is an investment in our athletes, our visibility, and our future.
The new Glass Track and Field facility will allow Taylor student-athletes to train and compete at home, elevating performance while demonstrating a deep commitment to their success. With a projected cost of $4.65 million and completion targeted for Fall 2026, this project represents a timely and strategic investment. Your support will help bring this vision to life—advancing Taylor’s Track and Field program and the University's mission.

Track and field is about more than lanes, marks, and times—it’s about growth, perseverance, and preparing students to lead with purpose. Track and field is Taylor's second-largest sport, with 94 student-athletes exemplifying excellence both academically and athletically.
The relocation of our current track presents a rare and exciting opportunity to reimagine what’s possible for our students.
The Glass Track and Field Complex will honor George Glass '58 and his late wife, Jan (Huffman) Glass. George devoted a lifetime to Taylor University as a coach, educator, and administrator. From 1960 to 1985, Coach Glass led the Men’s Cross Country and Track and Field programs, building teams that earned national recognition and student-athletes who value hard work, integrity, and faith.
“George pushed us hard on the track, but he also taught us to give our all for God, for each other, and for life itself.” —Dick Gygi ’67
