Admissions Counselor

Biography

Hello! My name is Kristin Hoover, and I’m the Admissions Counselor for transfer students. If you are considering transferring to Taylor, I look forward to helping you navigate the process and connecting you to others on campus that will help welcome you into the Taylor community. I also work alongside the other Admissions Counselors as a resource to homeschool students and parents.

I graduated from Taylor in 1995 with a degree in Psychology. In addition to working in the Admissions Office for several years, I also enjoyed being a research assistant to a psychology professor and serving as the freshman class secretary on the Inter-Class Council (ICC). Each of these experiences gave me the opportunity to grow my leadership skills, contribute to the Taylor community, and develop lasting friendships.

After working in professional market research and project management roles for eight years, and staying home for several years, my husband and I began homeschooling our children in 2012. I can identify with many of the questions homeschool families have about high school transcripts, dual credit options, and preparing for a successful transition to college. And it’s never too early to begin asking these questions.

If you are a transfer or homeschool student, feel free to reach out.  I can’t wait to hear from you!
