Director of the Counseling Center

  • PhD, Psychology: Behavioral Health Leadership, Liberty University (ongoing)
  • MA, Counseling Psychology, Ball State University (1995)
  • BA, Psychology, Taylor University (1994)

The Lord has blessed my wife and I to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary this month. We met at Taylor as students in 1990 and have been together ever since. We have been blessed to adopt six of our nine children, including one we will be adopting soon who has been a foster child with us for over 10 years. We recently moved from Absecon, New Jersey, after living there for 24 years to come back to Taylor.

I previously worked as the Director of Atlantic City School Based Youth Services program, a state-funded program housed in Atlantic City High School.

Advice to Incoming Students

My advice to incoming freshmen is to be open to God's leading. I had many plans of what I thought my future would hold and God has truly shaken them up and made them far better than what I could have ever imagined. Proverbs 16:9 says, "A man's heart plans his way. But the Lord directs his steps." I graduated from Taylor in 1994 and this place has always held a special place in my heart. The professors, staff, and community all invested in me as a student. I am excited to be back on campus as part of the staff and to- have the opportunity to impart to the students the the same feeling of family and high academic standards I received while here. I look forward to being a part of their spiritual, and character development as they navigate through their time at Taylor.
