Career Highlights

Skip Trudeau serves as the Vice President for Student Development & Intercollegiate Athletics and as Director of the Master of Arts in Higher Education Program. He has served in Christian higher education for over 40 years and has been an integral part of Taylor University since 1999. He has served in a variety of Student Development roles including Director of Residence Life, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Development and Intercollegiate Athletics. His passions include working with students in developing their faith journeys and developing professional staff who work in Student Development and Intercollegiate Athletics.

In addition to his professional roles, Skip has been active in organizations such as The Association for Christians in Student Development (ACSD), where he has served as President and as an Executive Committee member, and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). He has regularly attended conferences of both organizations and made over 25 workshop presentations at these and other professional meetings. He has also served as an external evaluator for program reviews at six different colleges.

Skip has led or co-led several major building projects that have changed the fabric of Taylor’s campus, including the Boren Campus Center, Memorial Prayer Chapel, Breuninger Hall, Campbell Hall, Wolgemuth Hall, Stillman Fieldhouse, and Paul and Barbara Gentile Hall.

About

Skip and wife Jennifer have five adult children, all Taylor University graduates, and are the proud grandparents of three (and counting). Skip and Jennifer enjoy time spent with family, friends, colleagues, and students and frequently host student groups in their home. They also find time to spend on outdoor activities including gardening, golf, and exploring nature. Skip and Jennifer love living in the Upland community and are members of the Upland Community Church family.
