Shannon Lewis

Biography

For over 15 years I have had the opportunity to teach public speaking and other courses in the Communication discipline on both high school and university levels. Much of my personal experience in public speaking comes from my background and undergraduate degree in Communication Arts Education as well as ongoing opportunities to teach or speak in various settings. I am committed to coming alongside my students to help them succeed in my classes, but more importantly, I hope they walk away with more confidence in their abilities to speak and organize their thoughts so that God can use them in powerful ways in the future.

I encourage students to take advantage of this short season of life to learn all that you can. As a graduate of Taylor, I can attest to the value of getting a liberal arts education and to the incredible care and wisdom of Taylor professors. Taylor teaches you how to think rather than what to think so that you can navigate the increasingly complicated ethical and spiritual issues you will encounter in the future.
