Why I Came to Taylor
I came to Taylor because God was speaking to my heart about leaving the practice of social work in order to train the next generation of social workers to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a hurting world. Micah 6:8 says: “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” It is my desire to train Christian social workers to embody Micah 6:8. We are called to act justly – to be the voice for the voiceless and the marginalized; to love mercy – to be an advocate against injustice towards others; and to walk humbly – to recognize that we are in as much need of mercy and grace as anyone that we think that we are called to serve.
