Why I Came to Taylor

My husband and I had a very clear calling from God to come to Taylor in 2005. We’ve enjoyed developing the program in film and media production and fostering Taylor’s alumni influence in the entertainment industry as well as in corporate, not-for-profit and ministry settings.

I love photography, perennial flower gardening, playing with my dog, Jack, and hanging out with my husband, John, and son, Andrew.

Major Career Accomplishments

I completed my first documentary feature film in 2017 as part of my MFA in Filmmaking degree, and the film was warmly received at several film festivals. Nearly every January, I take a group of students to the Sundance Film Festival as part of a course in independent film. I specialize in non-fiction production; both documentary and projects for clients. In the past, I was a magazine editor, a freelance & corporate video producer/writer and I am currently the executive producer of my students’ many award-winning documentaries. I recently co-wrote a chapter on Catherine Booth in Words and Witnesses, a survey of influential Christian thinkers throughout history.
