Telling the Taylor Story

Telling the Taylor Story requires an investment in resources that will increase our engagement with all constituent groups and allow us to reach a larger segment of the Christian world.

We want more people to know Taylor University and the excellent Christ-centered, student-focused education we provide.

  • Construct a new welcome center in the heart of campus extending hospitality to thousands of visitors each year.
  • Steward the University’s brand to increase the confidence of alumni and parents in recommending Taylor to prospective students.
  • Increase our digital engagement to articulate Taylor’s unique strengths within the competitive higher education marketplace.

Welcome Center

Providing an Engaging Visitor Experience in the Heart of Campus

A Welcome Center will catalyze Taylor’s ability to attract prospective students by showcasing the Taylor experience in memorable ways for prospective students and their families. Within the increasingly competitive higher education landscape, a gateway into the life and culture of Taylor is one way to set ourselves apart from similar institutions and will demonstrate the engaging campus culture that defines Taylor’s Life to the Full experience.

Horne Academic Center

Celebrating the First New Academic Building in 10 Years

The Horne Academic Center will house two signature programs: film and media arts—a program whose distinguished graduates are transforming the film and television industry—and an innovation/entrepreneurship hub, a growing area of focus for the University.

Film & Media

This growing program has over 900 external awards and recognitions. Film & Media Arts graduates work in Hollywood, corporate media, advertising and creative marketing agencies, and not-for-profit and ministry organizations.

Entrepreneurship

An innovation and entrepreneurial hub will address a growing demand of students for entrepreneurial experiences, unify innovation and entrepreneurship on campus, and allow the University to initiate new partnerships that will spur significant development in our region and beyond.

The Taylor Brand

Undertaking a Comprehensive Study to Update the Logo, Seal, and Colors

A yearlong comprehensive brand study in partnership with consulting firm Carnegie was undertaken to reimagine our imagery and messaging in ways that would help elevate the distinctives of the University.

The long-awaited reveal in December 2022 introduced an updated institutional logo, University seal, athletics logo, and messaging theme. The new community theme, Life to the Full (based on John 10:10), honors the University’s 175+ year heritage of ministering Christ’s unconditional love, grace, and truth to the world, and emphasizes Taylor’s unwavering commitment to Christ-centered, student-focused education.

The University also announced a new mailing address celebrating the year of its founding: 1846 Main Street.
