My journey post-graduation is a little different compared to my peers. However, I am sure it is still valuable to undergraduates navigating career decisions. I was able to combine what I learned during my time at Taylor and morph it with another one of my passions to create a unique career path that I thoroughly enjoy. I graduated with a BS and MS in Environmental Science. Since graduating, I have combined the knowledge gained from my environmental science courses with my love of graphic design to pursue a career in Landscape Design.
I am very much a visual learner. I valued the time we spent outdoors, putting to practice what we learned in the classroom and seeing how it translated in the real world. Taylor’s Randall Environmental Science Center provided practical application by just stepping outside into an outdoor learning space.
The professors during my time at Taylor were very approachable, knowledgeable, and considerate. They deeply cared for my personal and academic growth.
The environmental science foundational core is centered on stewardship and sustainability. These two assets are seriously lacking in a world that focuses on consumerism and resource depletion.
