Video Game Development Camp
Come learn how to make a game for the first time OR hone your skills with the help of a computer science professor and computer science students. Video Game Development camp is an opportunity to study what goes into making a game fun. You will then receive instruction and hands-on practice creating your own 2D games in the Godot game engine. Programming experience is valuable but not required.
Dates: June 18-23, 2023
What will Video Game Development Camp Be Like?
You will learn the basics of level design, character design, and video game theory. You will then apply those basics in creation of a 2D video game through the Godot engine tool. Basic programming ideas, Godot tool usage, and video game design will be covered. The final two days will give you time to build a prototype of your own creative game idea.

Faith and Gaming
As creative people, we have a special opportunity to honor God with everything we create, and that includes games. We will discuss as a group how our faith impacts the work we do in computer game development.
