Professional Writing Camp
If you love words, you’re welcome here! The Professional Writing Summer Academic Camp offers students training in the craft of writing well, an introduction to the world of publishing, and deep discussion on matters of faith and writing.
Dates: June 18-23, 2023
Cost: $500
What will Professional Writing Camp Be Like?
You will write short pieces and practice aspects of the writing craft, and journal based on discussion prompts in quiet, restorative spaces on campus. You will write, workshop, and edit a devotional piece for publication. That piece will then be submitted to the Aboite Independent Great Day Ministry to be published online. You will receive the link to your devotional when it is published to add to your portfolio.

Faith, Learning, and Professional Writing
As writers, we have a unique opportunity to communicate God’s truths through what we write. We will discuss at length the importance of being a Christian, a writer, and a Christian writer, and how that impacts whatever we write—whether fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, nonfiction, etc.
