Understand and utilize the concepts of teaching piano.
Prepare to teach private piano lessons and operate an independent music studio. You will learn music pedagogy methods, study piano literature and music theory. Applied music lessons will help you to build your own musical gifts as you learn to pass on your skills and knowledge to others. Students who are passionate about piano performance and teaching are encouraged to consider the Keyboard Pedagogy minor.
This minor is available for non-music majors.
