Welcome, we’re glad you are here!

Taylor welcomes students with disabilities who are prepared to engage in college-level coursework and who meet the University’s admissions standards. Through the Academic Enrichment Center (AEC), we provide reasonable accommodations to ensure equal access to academic programs and full participation in Taylor’s whole-person educational experience. These services may include alternative testing arrangements, note-taking assistance, or other reasonable accommodations.

Student Responsibility for Accommodations

One of the adjustments for students with disabilities is learning how the responsibility now shifts to you once in college. In high school, support services are often set in motion by the school—but in college, you get to take an active part in the conversation. That means disclosing a disability, requesting accommodations, and following through with the plan.

But you’re not alone in this process. At Taylor, we’re here to help you make this transition with confidence. Taking responsibility for your learning includes being proactive, seeking support early, and following up with the Academic Enrichment Center.

Collaborative Process

The accommodation process at Taylor is built on partnership. You won’t go through it alone—our support team will work alongside you to identify and remove barriers so you can fully engage in your college experience.

We encourage you to meet with us early on to talk through your needs and goals. Together, we’ll explore what accommodations might be helpful and how they can support your success during your time at Taylor. It's a conversation—not just a checklist—and we're here to listen, guide, and advocate with you.

Compliance

Taylor University is committed to providing equal access to all students and fully complies with federal mandates outlined in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008.
