Through a self-serve, buffet-style dining experience, the DC has a variety of thematic food choices for all students who gather there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Daily meal choices include traditional Midwest fare, global options, health-conscious options, traditional American fare, a pasta bar, Mexican bar, salad bar, deli bar, cereal bar, and display cooking. Because the DC is the only place for (most) students to eat on campus, the dining services staff members continue to evaluate how they can improve your dining experience.  But more than that, they have a heart for serving, and enjoy getting to know the students on a personal level.

Special Dietary Needs

Our head chef works very closely with students who have special dietary requirements.  For those with a low to moderate level of need, he works to provide specific food options that meet their needs, and tries to always be available for any questions one may have. Individuals with more severe needs are assigned to a specific staff member who oversees the needs of that student. He or she can provide a meal prepared to required specifications.  These students also have regular meetings with the Dining Services staff to be sure their needs are being accommodated.
