Memorial Prayer Chapel
The location of the prayer chapel, between the Zondervan Library and Wengatz Hall, ensures that it is easily visible and aesthetically pleasing as students, faculty and staff travel between residence halls, classrooms, and the Dining Commons. The prayer chapel acts as a visual reminder to pray continually.
The facility includes a 75-seat memorial prayer chapel, meditation rooms and expansive prayer garden with prayer alcoves and a memorial to the lives of Taylor students Laurel Erb, Brad Larson, Betsy Smith and Laura VanRyn along with Creative Dining Services staff member Monica Felver.
This new facility also honors the memories of previous members of the Taylor community while calling the university to prayer for the future.
