Discipleship Coordinator

A Discipleship Coordinator (DC) serves on the new Student Spiritual Life Committee (SLC).  The SLC is responsible for promoting both private and public Christian worship among the Taylor student body.  DC's are responsible for planning and promoting private worship (e.g. individual and small group meetings).  Chapel Coordinators (CC's) are responsible for planning and promoting public worship (e.g. chapel and vesper meetings).

While the DC's and CC's have duties unique to their respective areas, they also have shared responsibilities.  These focus on matters that further the spiritual well being of the student body and require regular prayer, Biblical thinking and gospel focus.

The SLC is comprised of seven DC's, seven CC's, a Pastoral Intern(s) and the Campus pastor.

A DC should be a person who desires to strengthen the spiritual life of the student body.  He should possess an exemplary Christian character and lifestyle (including a growing commitment to regular Bible reading, prayer and local church involvement).  A DC should work well with others and have the respect of her peers, professors and any other leaders under whom she has served.  This is a highly relational job.  A DC must therefore be energized by relationships.
