The Lady Trojan softball team lost twice yesterday at the Mid-Central Conference tournament, ending their season with a 14-20 record.
The Taylor softball team split a nonconference doubleheader with St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Saturday. The Lady Trojans dropped game one 6-4, but bounced back in the second game to win 5-2.
The Lady Trojan softball team suffered a sweep on Tuesday in their final conference contests of the season against Huntington University, losing by the final scores of 11-0 and 3-2.
The Taylor softball team played two hard fought contests before being swept by the Knights of Marian College in Tuesday's doubleheader.

Two Lady Trojans were honored with Mid-Central Conference postseason softball accolades this week. Junior Lindsey Arnold and senior Erica Yoder were named to the All-Conference team.

Jessica Fankhauser, a sophomore on the Taylor University softball team, has been named Pitcher of the Week in the Mid-Central Conference.

Alyssa Brodbeck has announced her intentions of playing softball for Taylor in 2009. Brodbeck is from Springfield, Ohio where she is a senior at Springfield North High School.
