2007 Season Review
Carrying six underclassmen and one junior on its roster, the 2007 Taylor men's golf team gained some much needed experience. The young team showed promise with two second place finishes.
The first came at the Jon Spiess Memorial Classic in Wauseon, Ohio. Junior Ryan Johnson led the Trojans with an even par 72 and a fourth place finish in the 48-player field. Teammates Trevor Fitch (73), Josh Gates (74) and Arne Fahlen (75) were close behind. Taylor's score of 294 was the team's lowest in the past 10 years.
Two weeks later the Trojans again finished second in the Grace Invitational. Taylor finished just five strokes behind tournament champions, Grace College. Medalist Ryan Johnson led the squad with a two-under-par 68.
Taylor's season came to a close with an eighth-place finish at the Mid-Central Conference Tournament.
