2009 Fall Preview

The 2009 version of the Taylor golf team will feature three seniors and a host of underclassmen, all searching to climb the standings in the Mid-Central College Conference.

Arne Fahlen and Trevor Fitch are co-captains for the season, and their experience will be pivotal as the Trojans and head coach Jon Ochs strive for the upper echelon of the MCC. Fellow senior Josh Gates joins the duo adding to the team's experience.

Sophomores Evan Cather and Tyler Ramsland led TU in scoring average last season, and could be atop the leader board often for the Trojans.

A trio of freshmen will dot TU's roster. They include: James Fahlen of North Pointe Christian in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Heritage Christian's Steven Deckert from Minnesota; and Brandon Siewert of Westminster Christian High School in Illinois.

Though guiding a young team, Coach Ochs believes his Trojans can be competitive and will focus on readying them to play their best.

The Trojans open the season at the IWU invitational on September 14-15th and continuing at Bethel on September 25th-26th.
