Jon Ochs

Coach's Email

Jon R. Ochs has been a part of the golf program since 2001. In the summer of 2003 he became the head coach, leading the Trojans to a victory and a second place finish in the fall of 2003.

He is a 1992 graduate of Taylor University who knows how to guide athletes through the challenging college experience. Coach Ochs emphasizes the importance of having a personal, growing relationship with God. This growth translates into a professional attitude on the golf course, in life at Taylor and in the future as players enter the workplace.

Ochs' passion for golf started at age nine. From that point on, he continued to play and improve his game under the guidance of the local, professional golfer in his home town. This guidance transformed him with the desire to coach golf. The joy of playing and the satisfaction of assisting young athletes in reaching their top potential continues to motivate Ochs as he guides Trojan golfers in life on and off the golf course.

Coach Ochs and his wife Kelli, a kindergarten teacher in Upland, have three sons--Braden, Calvin and Dawson--and a daughter, Emmi.
