Ron Korfmacher

Taylor University has appointed Ron Korfmacher as the new head football coach. Korfmacher takes the reins of the football program with 23 years of collegiate experience as an assistant coach for the Trojans. He takes over the program following the resignation of former head coach James Bell.
During his career as an assistant, Korfmacher has coached quarterbacks, running backs, defensive backs and served as the offensive coordinator. A 1983 Taylor graduate, he was a three-year letterman at quarterback for the Trojans. He served as Taylor's recruiting coordinator from 1985-2005, a role in which he was responsible for the program's nationwide recruiting efforts. For the past year, Korfmacher has coordinated athletic recruiting for all intercollegiate programs.
Korfmacher has been a part of the leadership team of several different mission trips associated with the Trojan football program including the Czech Republic, Russia and Croatia. He has also been involved with youth football mini-camps with Urban Impact in New Orleans and most recently Habitat for Humanity in Miami.
Following his graduation from Taylor with a degree in business administration, he went on to earn a master's degree in executive development for public service from Ball State University in 1990.
Kormacher was also a member of the track and field coaching staff from 1987-91.

Our program will focus on demonstrating excellence on the field, in the classroom and through service in the community," said Korfmacher.

Korfmacher and his wife Julie live in Upland. They are the parents of three children-Sara (a senior at Taylor), Ben and Rachel.
Greg Wolfe - Offensive Coordinator
Greg Wolfe will handle the Trojans' wide receivers as well offensive coordinators duties in 2008. Wolfe earned an economics degree at Wheaton and a Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Management from The Ohio State University.
Wolfe was a coaching intern with the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League working with receivers and special teams before coming to TU.
In addition to coaching, Wolfe is a member of the PHP faculty. Coach Wolfe and his wife, Lisa, live in Upland.
Pete Demorest - Defensive Coordinator
Coach Demorest returns to the Trojan sideline as defensive coordinator while coaching defensive backs.
An All-MSFA selection in his senior season as a linebacker, Demorest graduated with a degree in communcation studies from Taylor. Outside of his coaching duties, he assists in the sports information department.
He has been involved in coaching in the Czech Republic as part of a missionary venture and at Christian Fellowship School in Virginia.
Coach Demorest and his wife, Beth, have two children; Kailey-6, and Gabriel-4.
Dale Perine - Linebackers Coach
Coach Perine is in his third year as a member of the Trojan coaching staff and continues to direct the linebacking corps.
Perine began his coaching career at his alma mater, Utah State, where he worked with defensive ends and linebackers. He spent one season at San Francisco State before taking a position with the Washburn University staff where he was in charge of the defensive line and linebackers. Following his stint at Washburn, Perine spent three years as the assistant head coach at Jackson State.
Coach Perine lives in Marion and spends most of his off season fishing.
Tony Kijanko - Defensive Line Coach
Tony Kijanko returns to the Taylor coaching staff for his sixth season following a three-year hiatus.
Kijanko has been involved with football throughout most of his life. He earned All-MAC honors while at Bowling Green and spent one year with the Cleveland Browns before moving into coaching. His stellar career includes numerous conference championships and Coach of the Year honors in addition to being chosen to coach in the Ohio All-Star game.
Retired from teaching, Coach Kijanko and his wife, Delores, reside in Georgia. The couple have four grown children; Angie, Karrah, Chris, and Josh (TU ‘02).
Mike Miley - Offensive Line Coach
Coach Miley joins the Trojan staff for a second time, having served as the offensive line coach during the 2005 season.
Miley earned his Master's degree in adaptive physical education from Indiana State University in 1974 and taught for 30 years in the Washington Township school district. He spent over 33 years as a member of the North Central High School football staff coaching both offensive and defensive line.
Coach Miley and his wife, Sherry, live in Carmel. The couple have two grown children; David and Nathan (TU ‘05).
