Honors Guild Program Requirements
Honors Guild program requirements were created to engage the student in scholarly research, community life, spiritual vitality, and global literacy. The students and faculty in the Honors Guild use these themes to develop the mind and heart holistically, in preparation for servant leadership wherever they are called.
The Ockenga Honors Scholar will need to complete 18 "honors" credit hours. Honors courses are comprised of both core curriculum and elective offerings.
Three hours (of the 18 required) will be fulfilled by participating in three (3) one-hour Honors colloquiums. Students will plan on enrolling in these during three of their eight semesters at Taylor. Through the Honors Colloquium, each year a specific theme will be examined. In 2013-2014, the theme will be "Christians in the Public Sphere."
