Honors Guild Admissions Requirements

If you are interested in the Honors Guild, you need the following:

Scores:

Applicants should have a high school GPA of at least 3.7 and an SAT score of 1280 or an ACT score of 28. Once you have applied, we will receive copies of your scores from the admissions office.

Curiosity:

Honors Guild applicants should be serious about intellectual engagement and passionate about intentional community with other like-minded students and faculty.

Essay:

Be prepared to answer an essay question. When writing your essay, please keep in mind that there are limited spots available for admission to the Honors Guild. The process is competitive; each year we turn away students with high scores. The essay is your opportunity to set yourself apart.

Reference:

Students wishing to apply to the Honors Guild will need to submit basic personal information like contact information, and a reference from an AP-level instructor. Please email the link to your AP-level teacher. The link to the reference form can be found here.

Interview:

It is strongly recommended that applicants plan to interview for admittance to the Honors Guild. Interview days are February 18th, February 20th, and February 22nd. Interested students should plan to visit campus and schedule a meeting with a representative from the Honors Guild while on campus. You must meet the admissions requirements to schedule an interview. The application should be submitted prior to interviewing. We understand that it is not always possible to visit campus and will schedule interviews by phone when necessary.

Application Deadlines

The application deadline is March 1.
