It's a faith-integrated study of living things

Do medical schools want biology majors? Over the last thirty years, nearly every Taylor biology graduate who completed our program with at least a 3.6 GPA and good score on the MCAT has been accepted into medical schools like University of Michigan, Harvard, Mayo Clinic, University of Chicago, Indiana University, Ohio State University, Johns Hopkins and many other top-notch medical schools.

So, we’d say that medical schools definitely want biology majors, and especially Taylor’s biology majors. That’s because not only do we have the national recognition that comes from being ranked #1 six times in a row by U.S. News and World Report, but more importantly, we truly address science and faith integration. We prepare you to tackle global and local issues in the public or private sector through thoughtful study, preparation and dialogue about the issues that face Christians today in the study and application of science.

Becky Hoesli Biology ProfileAfter four years of studying biology at Taylor, you’ll be ready to take the next step towards careers in: medicine, research, physical therapy, ecology, public health, nursing, wildlife biology, veterinary medicine, teaching at the high school or college level and so many others.
