Modern Languages

Crossing invisible borders

Want to use your foreign language skills in an exciting and fulfilling career? Looking to deepen your knowledge of other cultures and make studying abroad part of your college experience? Consider studying in the Taylor Modern Languages Department. While studying Spanish, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, or Advanced French (for completion) at Taylor, you will become a highly proficient communicator while also acquiring a deeper social and cultural understanding.

We provide a number of travel opportunities, allowing you the chance to interact with native speakers, connecting to their cultures in a personal and rewarding way all while gaining language fluency. In Reade Liberal Arts Center, our classes offer the opportunity to explore Spanish-speaking cultures in order to enhance your knowledge and appreciation of other cultures and religious practices.

As a foreign language student at Taylor, we aren’t looking to merely teach you a new language. You will grow in your language skills within a broader liberal arts experience. This experience will develop your critical thinking skills, while shaping your character and Christian faith.
