Faculty/Staff Technology Workshops
A full set of technology workshops is scheduled during the summer months as well as periodically during the school year. These workshops are designed to help faculty and staff progress in their ability to use computer technology for personal productivity and in their teaching.
Student Technology Assistants
Students with strong technical skills are hired to work along-side faculty and staff to help with particular computer-related projects.
Campus Cable
Three of the campus cable channels, channels 27-29, are reserved for the showing of educational films and videos. Professors can schedule the showing of videos in the evening and weekend hours rather than using class time for this purpose.
Test Scanning Services
The Scantron bubble-sheet scanning system is used by faculty for automated grading of objective tests. It is also used by other departments to tabulate evaluations and surveys. Useful statistics are generated for assessment purposes.
Blackboard Administration & Support
The Blackboard course management system is widely used across campus to supplement the learning that takes place in the classroom. It is also used to deliver fully online summer school classes, as well as an e-portfolio system for the student body. The ETC administers the Blackboard system, and provides training and support for faculty and students.
