Holdings

StorageThe Archives consists of general holdings and special collections. General holdings collectively document all aspects of University history. Special collections are individual groups of materials or items not necessarily relating to University history, but are connected to University faculty, staff, or alumni.

Our records are slim from 1846 to the 1960s because of the Administration Building fire of 1960. Thankfully, the Archives were housed in the Ayres Alumni Memorial building at the time, protecting course catalogs, Echoes, and other items.

For more information about any of our holdings below, please contact the Archives.

University Records

The Archives collects records produced by administrative and academic offices in the course of University business that document institutional history. These include minutes, correspondence, reports, syllabi, publications, and staff files.

Biographical Records and Collections

The Archives collects materials pertaining to faculty, staff, administration, students, and alumni/ae. This includes published materials, dissertations and theses, biographical information, articles, personal accounts, and more. Sometimes we have enough material to warrant creating a separate collection for a given individual.
