Why do I have a hold on my registration?

If you are unable to register for classes, select the "Check Registration Status" page within the TOWER registration menu. If a hold has been placed on your account, select "View Holds" to see which office you will need to contact:

  • Athletics
TOWER will not permit NAIA athletes to add/drop classes while athletic eligibility is in progress. Schedule adjustments must be initiated at the Registrar's Office.

  • Bursar
If a student fails to meet payment requirements by the due date, the Bursar may place a hold on the student's records and course registration. The Bursar will send notifications to students prior to the advance registration period. It is extremely important that students communicate with the Bursar about unresolved account balances. Until the issue is resolved, the student will not be permitted to register for subsequent term and will lose his or her priority registration position. Graduating seniors are not exempt from registration holds.

  • Health Center
If a student fails to submit complete health forms, immunization records, certification of physical examination, etc., the Office of Student Development may place a hold on the student's records and course registration. The Health Center and/or Office of Student Development will send notifications to students prior to the advance registration period. Until the issue is resolved, the student will not be permitted to register for a subsequent term and will lose his or her priority registration position.

  • Registrar
The Registrar may place a hold on a student's registration, due to, but not limited to, academic standing, athletic eligibility, outstanding AP/CLEP credit, placement results, proficiency requirements, repeat registration, and incomplete transcripts.
