Research Guides: Updated, Improved...
11.05.2009
The Research Guides have recently been updated with 1500 newly acquired Reference materials.
Why do you care?
Well, for starters, if you're not sure how to get started researching your topic for your term paper in Business, visit the Business Guide to find helpful Reference sources, relevant Databases, as well as specific journals and web sites that can be used in your projects!
We have a guide for every major discipline, and some for very specific areas within a discipline. See the List below.
If you are an Instructor, you can put a link to the guide in your discipline on Blackboard, or email it to your students, to provide them with solid Library resources for their papers.
Another part of the Research Guides is that YOU can have a say in what is included. If you know a resources that needs to be included on the guide, or if you have a suggestion for the Library to purchase something, based on what you see on the guide, please let me know.
I can also make a guide for a specific course, should an instructor require specific resources or want to know where to best send students for research on a specific topic.
Here is a linked list to the Guides that are available as of Today:
Communication Media (with a sub-page of Theatre and Film)
Education (with a sub-page of Children's Literature)
English Literature (several sub-pages)
History (with a plethora of sub-pages including an American History section and other World History related pages)
Political Science (with several sub-pages)
Psychology (with a Special Topics in Psych sub-page)
Religious Studies (for religions other than Christianity)
Sociology (with several sub-pages)
We have a few other guides that are generally helpful, not related to any particular discipline:
Please see me if you have suggestions or comments about the Research Guides!
