Tuition and Financial Aid
Every full-time student in the program will receive an assistantship assignment for each semester they are enrolled. Each assistantship is designed as an educational experience and is eligible for academic credit. Remuneration for assistantship assignments varies from a minimum of $3000 per year to assignments providing up to $8000 per year. Some of the assistantship roles are residential in nature and include housing and a partial meal plan. Additional financial aid is available in the form of student loans and limited grants and scholarships.
Graduate students at Taylor University are eligible for the Federal Stafford Loan Program and can generally borrow up to the full cost of attendance (tuition and fees, books and materials, computer, room and board allowance, etc.).
The student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/, listing Taylor University Upland (001838) as a recipient of the data. The FAFSA must be completed each academic year (which covers July 1 through June 30 for federal financial aid purposes). The FAFSA should be completed two-to-three months before the student needs the loan funds. Upon receipt of the student's FAFSA data, Taylor University's Financial Aid Office will review the data and may request additional information if necessary. Once the file is complete, the Financial Aid Office will send an Award Letter identifying the student's loan eligibility and providing detailed instructions for completing the loan application process.
This loan program offers a fixed interest rate of 6.8%, and repayment of the loan principal is deferred until after graduation or until the student ceases to be enrolled at least half-time.
If you have questions regarding financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid office.
Current course tuition in the program is $550 per credit hour.
