Taylor University's psychology department integrates comprehensive study of the human mind with the Christian faith. The department's aim is to educate and prepare students for study and/or professional responsibilities after graduation. The department also equips students to minister the redemptive love of Jesus Christ to a needy world through their practice and understanding of psychology.
"I've found that my education in the psychology department at Taylor continues to be invaluable to me in every day of my personal and professional life. I chose Taylor to be able to integrate my faith and psychology - and found so much more. I found educators committed to teaching students how to think, not what to think. I found educators personally concerned about me and my life, and those same professors still care about me today! I found that I did not lose anything in going to a Christian liberal arts school to study psychology - in fact I gained a larger circle of reasoning than my colleagues with secular psychology backgrounds because of the ability to bring God's Word and what God has to say about the people he created into my practice.
"College was a very formative time for me - and Mark, Joe, Vance and Steve made a tremendous impact on my life. I credit them with helping builld a foundation for the way I think about life and my career. Thanks to them, I have been able to pass their wisdom and insight along to many others along the way!
"If you want an excellent undergraduate education in psychology where you can integrate your faith and practice - and if you want professors who care about you and care about what they are doing - and if you want to be well prepared with your undergraduate degree, I highly recommend the psychology department at Taylor University!"
