The Exercise Science major opens doors to many careers for students, but some of the options may require graduate study. With a degree in this major students may choose to pursue:
- Athletic training
- Biomechanics
- Strength and conditioning coaching
- Exercise physiology
- Fitness director position
- Health director position
- Occupational therapy
- Personal trainer position
- Physical therapy
- Sports medicine
Students who meet the graduation requirements in the Health and Physical Education teacher education program, successfully complete student teaching, and meet the Indiana qualifying scores on the required Praxis I and Praxis II tests are eligible for Indiana teacher licensure.
Taylor's Health and Physical Education majors have a 100 percent passing rate on the Praxis II, and 73 percent of graduates are in full time teaching positions within one year of graduation.
