Personal Information

My wife (Carolyn) and I (class of 1971) and our two children (Stephen, ‘2004 & Bethany, ‘2008) are all graduates of TU.

My MA is from Notre Dame and, thus, I am one of many legions of "Domers" suffering through losing football seasons and praying for a return of a national championship-soon!

My doctorate is from Ball State and the Department of Educational Leadership which is now ranked as one of the top programs in the nation.  Go Cardinals!

Hobbies: 

  • reading political biographies and keeping up with friends on Facebook
  • a little fishing from time to time
  • a little travel-mostly to the south and southeast and to Ireland 
  • enjoy college football--especially when ND wins

Community Involvement: 

  • minister of Center Christian Church (Fairmount) since 1968
  • vice president of the Geography Educators' Network of Indiana
  • review work in the area of social studies for the Indiana Department of Education
