Education
Taylor University maintains one of the most distinguished education programs in the nation. The education department's goal is to develop competent, caring and reflective teachers prepared for world service.
Because the program is based on experiential learning, students enter area classrooms for field study during the freshman year course, Education in America. Rural and inner-city student teaching opportunities abound in nearby Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Muncie and Marion. Students also have the opportunity to student teach overseas for seven to eight weeks.
Taylor University's teacher education program is accredited by NCATE (the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) and the Indiana Professional Standards Board. Taylor's education program is an exciting way to enter a profession that impacts young lives.
